awesome service, 2004 toyota tacoma manual transmission pk, very difficult to shift into any gear, took it to greatstate transmission where they located the problem, gave me an estimate and had job completed so fast it made my head spin, on top of that they informed me my ac was not working at the level it should be and they fixed that as well. Truck shifts through the gears like new and the ac has never worked better. Exceptional, well run company, 5 stars all the way!!!

Trustworthy. Gave me the benefit of the doubt over what was likely a misunderstanding. Correctly diagnosed the problem (after the Nissan dealer gave a faulty diagnosis with expensive recommendations)and repaired the issue at the estimated cost.

My 2014 Chevrolet Z71 had developed transmission fluttering. I took it to the Greatstate Transmission shop and they confirmed that I needed a new transmission. Terry offered me several effective options and I made the decision to have the transmission replaced with a GM off the shelf transmission that had a 3-year / 100,000 mile warranty. Unfortunately, at 2 years / 80,000 miles the transmission failed. I called Terry at Greatstate and he gave me a couple of options for warranty shops in Beaumont, Texas; where my transmission failed. The shop that I selected was Transmission Exchange, don’t choose them if your stranded in Beaumont!!! Terrible Shop!!! Terry managed the new transmission with Chevrolet dealership in Houston and had it shipped to the repair shop. Terry basically took ownership of making sure all documentation was provided and pay for the installation as well. I had no out of pocket cost due to Terry taking ownership of this warranty. Greatstate is the very best and they take care of business long after the transmission replacement. Terry is an exceptional service advisor that has integrity at the highest level! This is a top shelf place to do business!

I'd like to thank Don and his staff for properly diagnosing and replacing the TCM on my 2011 GMC 2500HD Duramax/Allison. I had my truck towed to Great State for a second opinion as the Chevrolet Dealer in Aransas Pass had told me that both the transmission and transfer case both required replacement and the cost would be $9700.00 !!!!! Don and his staff replaced the TCM after their diagnosis, reprogrammed it and the truck is running like new again. They did this in less than 24 hrs and for less than $1200.00. I can't say enough good about this business and their honesty and integrity. Don't go anywhere else for transmission or drive line repairs. As a winter Texan from Canada it was great to find this honest repair facility. I'd give them 10 stars if I could !!!!

So I had the transmission replaced last year by Greatstate and while they were there they changed the flywheel as well because it had missing teeth. Before the flywheel was replaced I was having some problems with the starter engaging the flywheel and hoped this would fix it. It did not so for the last year I’ve been trying to figure out what the actual problem was and realized both starter and flywheel need to be replaced at the same time. They did it for free without any difficulty. I’m very happy with the service I received from these people. Would go back without a second thought. My girlfriend also had her transmission replaced there and she is very happy as well.

I've got a 2010 F-150 that has been vibrating and riding rough for months. Changed my shocks and struts thinking that was it but it didn't do anything to help. A mechanic said to look into the transmission. I called around and Great state had the best prices for service and Don was great. He said they had some additive they could add to help with the vibration. Service was fast, best prices and my truck rides better than it has in a very long time. Thanks guys!
